I'm always honest on this board. I've never lied and I've been a member of this board and a previous LIW member since 2001. I'm proud to say that anything anyone has read about me is the truth! I have nothing to hide. But I will admit that I am jealous of most of the women on this board. Not mad jealousy, but just wish we were that better off. We can hardly afford to live here in NC forget about LI! I don't think anyone should lie about their life... how else will anyone really get to know you? JMO!

Me too.  I read the subject line and responded before reading the rest of the post. I'm not sure why people would lie on a chat forum, especially since most of us don't know each other. I guess there are some people who always want to make their lives seem better than they really are.

On these boards, Id say probably under 1%. I see no reason to "exaggerate" anything in life for no apparant reason whatsoever.

I answered your poll incorrectly - I thought you were asking if we thought people lie/embellish and I answered yes. Have I ever lied - NO. But do I think people exaggerate their lifestyles and try to make themselves look better than they are or look like they have more.

Some people know me around here and know I don't lie about my life or embelish it in any way.
I'm sure there are a lot of people here that do that and it's a shame.

I would think that people here are honest.
FOr me personally, if I didn't want to share something- rather then post about it and lie, I would just skip the post alltogether.
