OMG. DH just called me; he just witnessed someone jump in front of the train at Smithtown (UPDATE ON ORIGINAL POST)
He was standing on the platform for the 6:05 (i think it's 6:05) and a man just jumped right in front of him and threw himself into the tracks. I told him to come home...he sounds like he's going to cry....I'm kind of in shock myself. He said the cops just got there now....he said the girl standing next to him is like, screaming and crying....he just told me he's going to drive to work. He said he can see the man moving around down there....I wonder if he'll make it??? OMG.......
Update: So, he just told me he is still seeing this man mid air in his head. I told him we might need to talk to someone, and that that's okay. He won't listen to me...but I hope he does. I'd be a mess.

I got scared when the phone rang...I'm usually sleeping right now. When he leaves, I fall back to sleep, so I panicked right away. OMG...I would be traumatized. I know me....and I Know him. I'm really worried.

My gosh this is horrible....your poor husband and all of those that witnessed this..... Hopefully the guy pulls through and is okay.....ughh....

Oh my gosh. I couldn't even imagine how that feels to witness something like that. I definitely wouldn't be able to work though after seeing that.

that is terrible, keep an eye on DH if you see he gets more anxious, startles easily, cant sleep or has nightmares makes sure he gets professional help.

He should stay home today, but sometimes it's easier to be distracted by work and things like that.

I think it would be beneficial for your DH to go to a counseling session.
I'm pretty sure your health insurance would cover it for this instance.

I am so sorry your husband had to witness that and even more sorry for the person that felt that was the only way out of their problems. What a horrible situation for all!!
