DH has a goatee in summer and a beard in winter. I didn't think I would like a beard, but I like it on him and certain other people.

I'm not into the goatee thing. And DH doesn't look good with facial hair. He scratches the heck out of me when he doesn't shave for a couple of days!

Even though my husband sometimes doesn' t shave for a day or two and I love that 5 O'clock shadow look on him....

Beard is ok (DH has a beard to hide some chins). Not a big mustache fan at all.
As for the scratchiness, it's a great exfoliant.

I hate facial hair. No offence, JMHO. I hate when DH is too lazy to shave. It reminds me of old men. I don't mind a five o'clock shadow, but hate, hate, hate beards and mustaches.
