The entire park is fenced in...there is a dog run on the left hand side of the mansion.

Coindre is not fenced in, however it's wooded all the way around, and there is a fence on the other side of the trees by the street, and a fence at the base of the park, so there really isn't anywhere for them to go...it does not have a "fenced in" dog run, but people have been bringing thier dogs there for 60 years now....it's perfectly safe. Gus has been going there since he was 3 months old....I can't wait for him to meet Bella and Tiger!

the mansion at Coindre is owned by lessings, so if you go to thier website you can get directions, the park is behind the mansion...it's really easy to get to...where do you live?

i would love to come to. i go to coindre every weekend and all the dogs (large and small) play great w/ one another. there is also a beach at the bottom of the hill for those that have dogs that love to swim.

Same here, I have never taken Tiger off his leash in a public place, so I dont know what he will do.
Ladies......Are you bringing a water dish and water for the doggies??

i bring a tupperware of water. i usually let him play for awhile w/ the other dogs while i chit chat w/ the owners (EVERYONE is so friendly), if it is a nice day, i walk him dowm to the beach to go swimming.
once you come into the park, go to the right and park in the back (behind the mansion) the park IS NOT fenced but it is a HUGE area (acres upon acres). there are never any issues w/ any of the dogs (at least none that i have seen). some of the dogs are a little more agressive than others but they all seem to get along great. if you feel as if your dog is too aggressive or too shy, make sure to leash him/her as they will not be used to the environment. carry a leash w/ you (legally, they are supposed to be leashed) as well as plastic bags.
i am a regular coindre park goer, so if you have any more questions or concerns, please ask.

add me to the list as well. i have a yellow lab. plays well w/ all but is somewhat of a loner and does his own thing.
ETA: i plan on taking him there today as well. probably be there from like 1-3, if any wants to stop by.

For those worried about their dogs taking off...chances are they'll be running towards the other dogs, not out of the park.
