you all know the horror i went threw with keith. as alex goes on the same journey! I MUST KNOW!!!
how many of you went and filled out your poa's, living wills, all your wishes, and all the stuff that goes with this!!!? PLEASE TELL ME THAT YOU DID!! if not WHAT IN THE WORLD ARE YOU WAITING FOR!!!!! PLEASE it does not take that much time nor that much money. as little as 250 you can save your self and love ones a whole lot of pain! Please Please MAKE SURE YOU GET THEM DONE!!! I will be asking again soon! I am only watching out for you !!!

I've gotten as far as printing them out and putting them in a folder, but then with my niece dying, I sort of got sidetracked. Thanks for the reminder.

My sister, who is an attorney, is processing any paperwork in that regard for us and as morbid as it is to think about it at this early stage in our marriage, we already have funeral and burial arrangements made too. Dh is a member of a type of fraternal organization that provides burial plots for its members.

Sad to say that I work in a hospital where the forms are on my computer and I haven't. I think I'll bring them home tomorrow and deal with them. Thanks for the reminder.

Dh and I really need to do this. When he got sick, we never did it. Now that he is in remission, I think we forget that it's important. I will definitely be doing this soon.

Done. My union has a "free will night". Where they come to the school and you can fill all of that paper work out.
We are awaiting life insurance until I am preggos. I make enough that I can support myself if anything happened to DH until we have kids.

Janet...me and DH filled ours out and put them into our safe. We also sat with all of our families as we filled them out to let both families know our wishes to avoid anything that might occur if god forbid something happens to either one of us. I wanted to do it before I went into labor, but kept putting it off........after what happened to Keith and the aftermath, I printed out the forms and got them done.
I also had my Uncle and Aunt fill them out too. They are in their 50s and had nothing!

We have our Health Care Proxies, Wills, etc filled out, copied & distributed to those named in the will (executors, guardians, etc).
Also when I had foot surgery, I filled another one out for the hospital specifying to remove me off of all artificial support after 6 months. DH was horrified and said "I would never do that." So I answered, "I know, that's why I made the choice for you."
Janet - thanks again for putting this reminder out there. Also you may want to add, now is the time to get life insurance policies, if you haven't already.
