I know many parents who leave their 5, 6, plus in age child alone for 10 minutes. Its not hours, its just about 10 minutes. You dont realize how fast 10 minutes can go by, so I dont blame the mother brother or the dog. It truly was an accident. Most dogs play tug of war. I feel sorry for both the family and the dog. I honestly have to say if I had a 6 yr old playing in my front yard with the dog, I would not feel like she was in any danger for 10 minutes, now if there was a pool in the yard yes but just playing in the front with the dog, in a fenced yard, I honestly have to say I wouldnt think it was a bad thing.

actually i thought the article said the BROTHER left her alone for the 10 mins

IMO it seems as though they were left alone outside together longer

Oh so the brother left her alone for 10 minutes, so then the truth needs to come out on just how long mom left the kids out with NO adult supervision. Hmmmm , cause honestly last night on the news, they were making it sound like it was the dogs COMPLETE fault and showed a picture of the dog too, saying the dog strangled the little girl with her scarf. this was on channel 7 news last night after invasion and that was it. I didnt read the article , I will, but the news clip didnt go into time, or the mom or the brother. very sad.

i think that is sad....
IMO the dog was being a dog...
they like to chase around pulling on things like scarves...

HELL...a famous AD campaign has a dog pulling on a baby's diaper.....

They are laying blame on the wrong thing Chat Icon

It was in Newsday today.
The parents see it as being a horrible accident.
They brought it to the shelter and hopefully will be put up for adoption.
