Do you have a landscaper and a cleaning lady?

I'm curious...if it's actually worth it.
We spend many days and hours doing a so-so job on our lawn. We also live on a corner with lots of trees so there are LEAVES EVERYWHERE even now, you'd think it's the fall already. The floors..the windows...etc.
DH and I only get like 1-2 days off a week.
Sometimes it's hard to fit it all in.

Cleaning ladies - how often do they come? Around how much are they? Is it worth it in your opinion. I would be scared to leave them alone in my house. Are you home when they are cleaning?

I have a landscaper - I also have a lawnmower. I just recently hired the landscaper, and that $25 a week is well spent

Yes. We have both. So worth esp. now with the baby. We don't want to waste our time doing that stuff. The cleaning lady comes every 2 weeks.

We have a landscaper but no cleaning lady. DH cannot find anyone that cleans to his satisfaction (the last lady actually stood on my bed to clean the ceiling fan and took one of DH's tee shirts to clean a mirror). We stopped looking.

We have a landscaper, no cleaning lady. Worth every penny we spend - while DH really loves working on the yard (and he will fertilize and etc) we just do not have the time to do it properly. The guys are in and out in 10 minutes - there is no way we could get all that they do done in that time...it would take hours. (cut, edge, blow, etc)

my mother has both. She pays $125 every two weeks for her cleaning lady.

I don't know how much for the landscaper

We don't have either. I clean everyday and do my major cleaning on Saturdays.

Mike likes mowing the lawn.

I think its money WELL SAVED

We have a cleaning lady - once every two weeks. I would do without buying something just to have those precious 3 or 4 hours at the weekend. ETA: I'm not home when she cleans and I trust her 100%. All my friends have tried to get her, but she is fully booked.

DH is in landscaping and spends every minute he can in our garden. I think he's just trying to get time away from me

I don't have a cleaning lady -- and live in an apartment so I don't need a landscaper.

If I got a cleaning lady though I'd have to have her come every day after my DH went to sleep to clean up after him.

we'll be looking for a landscaper soon though...our lawn is HURTIN'!!

We have a landscaper because DH and I are both too lazy to take care of things ourselves Seriously, we have no clue about anything, so DH would rather pay someone than have to do it himself. Our landscapers do alot also! $175/month

We just hired a cleaning service to come everyone other week and clean, they start next week $180/month.

We have a landscaper.

This is our first year in the house, and we considered buying a mower to do it ourselves, but we just have too many other projects going on right now.

We have a landscaper and a cleaning lady. My cleaning lady come 1-2 times per week and it is worth every penny.

right now just a cleaning lady

next year when we buy a house- we will have a landscaper also

our weekend are worth more to us- then what it cost to pay someone else to do those things for us

my DH doesn't work 12 hours a day to have to mow the lawn on Saturday!

we have both. Landscaper is $25/wk not including seeding, fertilizing, weed killing and spring and fall cleanups.

We have our cleaning lady come every two weeks and she gets $70 each time.

Totally worth it IMO. We work long hrs and the precious few we have together are not sacrificed.

We have landscapers who come weekly to cut the lawn (1 acre) and plow our 150ft driveway/shovel our walkways in the winter. They also do Spring & Fall cleanups (get all the leaves, clean the flower beds, etc.) We also have them trim the shrubs (we have 300+ ft of shrubs.)

We started out doing it ourselves (DH has a riding mower), but found that it was really taking up a lot of time on the weekends.

$35 a week...BEST MONEY WE EVER SPENT! (That's for the lawn cutting. The snow removal costs differently.)

We're now on the hunt for a cleaning person. Both my neighbors have a cleaning lady, so DH is probably going to ask one of them.

I have a cleaning lady - once a week, $60.
Lawn Maintenance - once a week, $29.

It is worth it to us.

We have a landscaper who cuts the lawn bi-weekly (we have a small property) and who does spring/fall cleanups and puts chemicals down.

I think we pay $28 every 2 weeks.

I wish I had a cleaning lady.
