****UPDATED**** Major Behr's Vent
Our furniture just arrived and we had to refuse the ENTIRE order!!! Every piece was chipped and scratched...it looked like used furniture! We called and they told us that they had "touch up paint" for us -- we spent over 6K on furniture and they want us to touch it up??? I doubt it! Now we have to wait for them to see if there are any more pieces in their warehouse or not and we have to wait at least a week! The babies are coming and I wanted this part of the planning stage done!
Anyone else have this problem with their furniture?
UPDATE 10/12 I just got a call from Behr's they will be back on Friday Oct. 20th with my order. I hope all goes well. Thanks again to Barbara for coming to my rescue! I will keep you all posted!

That's awful. You must be so disappointed. What brand is the furniture? Even if it's the fault of the furniture company, Behr's should have inspected it before they sent it to you.

It is Munire Brighton Collection. We ordered Linen White. I wonder if it would have been as noticable in wood color with the stain rather than the paint.

This is the lighter wood...maybe I should have gone with this...
I'm thinking this would be too dark for a boy and girl...

I did not have this problem with them. I agree that you should not have to "touch up" the furniture that you JUST bought. What is wrong with people

The white is very nice. I like it. I think you could have had the same problem with the wood too. Munire got excellent ratings from Baby Bargains (aka my Bible). They were rated an A. I guess these things can happen. Has Behr's told you when you can expect replacements with NO scratches? ETA: I re-read your original post and see that you have to wait for your answer. I hope they can get it in for you very soon.
I'm sorry you have to deal with this especially now.

that is soooo annoying - i cant believe that this happens to people constantly when they order from there. didnt someone else just have a problem with them on here and someone sent them this post and they got immediate resutls????? i dont remember who.
i got the same set in the lighter wood and it is due to come in any day. i hope we dont have any problems.

Yikes! We ordered the Munire crib from Berhs in dark wood and it is being delivered next Saturday! I'll let you know if it is chipped!
I'm sorry you are going through this- it is unacceptable!

I ordered from Behr's but it was a Ragazzi set and I didnt have any problems. That really stinks. Hopefully you can get a whole new set. I wouldnt accept touch up paint as a solution.

It's so disappointing to hear negative things about Behr's - especially with how much you spent! We are getting ours from there this Saturday and I am SO nervous!

oh nO!!!! I ordered all 3 pieces in the second picture except for the hutch piece and in that color! they are delivering it next tuesday. DH is going to be home, I have to work so I know he is ANAL and will not except anything but perfection AND its paid in FULL allready!!!
oh god, what is wrong with them?????? I think it was tanaholic that had a problem with them too recently and northshore girl( barbara) emailed them and she got results.
good luck and I will let you know of my experience next week- they better be ok b/c the following week we are having a whole new staircase and railings put up and b/c its over 6k to do it we wanted the furniture in BEFORE so they dont scratch up the new stairs!

Our cherry Munire furniture(from Behrs) was sent back once and the second time there were some slight imperfections which I made them take $$ off the order and I was able to touch it up without noticing(it was on the very bottom of our dresser). Don't settle unless you are happy!! In the end Munire makes gorgeous stuff and it will turn out great!! It may be poor manufacturing and shipping on Munires part??

I was just shocked to see that EVERY piece had major damage to them. We ordered 2 cribs and conversion kits, the armoire, chest of drawers, and the combo with the hutch, along with a custom reclining glider and ottoman.
For those of you getting this set, look at each column...that was where most of the damage was. Also on the top of the crib where the arch was, there was paint missing. The "custom" glider also had 4 holes...yes holes in it as well as a huge scratch on top!
I just hope I don't have to wait 8 weeks like some of you did before getting any more pieces.
Those of you getting furniture...I wish you the best of luck -- keep me posted!

I wonder if it's just an issue with Behr's. I have the exact smae set but it's from a different furniture store. I have it in the cherry and didn't notice any imperfections at all.

I was going to say I wonder if it is Munire. My set from Behr's was Pali and we had no problems. I was actually surprised at how nicely everything turned out with them.

I am...I just wanted everything organized so I had less to stress about. They seemed like they were going to take care of it...let's keep our fingers crossed.
