I just broke up with the guy I was dating the day before. He was going to Boston for St. Pat's with his friends - and I had enough of his criticism (lose weight (I was 110lbs), be less dependant on your parents, etc). We had this conversation about how I wasn't the girl for him --- and then I broke up with him. He was floored. I can't imagine what he was expecting would happen.
So 10 years ago today I was rehashing my love life with my girlfriend, debating getting back with my old boyfriend. She was convincing me to go out with her the following night. I invited my old boyfriend but he couldn't come...and then I met DH.

10 years ago I was 33 and caring for my daughter & my fiance who I had been caring for daily (He had MS) for the past year was in the hospital. He went into the hospital on Jan 2nd and came home only 2 more time to go back the next day. Sadly he passed away in August exactly a week before my birthday. 
 I'm glad you've found happiness again!
Thank you! I certainly did and I always say that Greg (former fiance) is my angel who sent my DH to take good care of me.
that is so sweet.

I was 18 and I just started dating DH (yesterday was our big day from when we first started dating) and I was sneaking into the bars with my fake ID, getting drunk and probably dancin on the bars... oh and serving shots at the old Sprats!

I was 25 in a comitted relationship, working like a dog in retail was a manager for Eddie Bauer hated it. on a wed night by this time def home in bed.

Hmmmm...26.... Just finishing graduate school, living at home and engaged to man I couldn't stand but was afraid to break up with so I wouldn't be alone.
BOY how time does change things!
And you can tell I am old since I have no idea what I was doing this night 10 years ago- probably fighting with my ex about our sex life

I was 24, in grad school and student teaching and looking frantically for a job so I could move out of my parents' house and into my own place. I'd also recently gotten out of a 2+ year relationship, so I was licking my wounds from that. And waiting tables in a comedy club on the weekend, which was lots of fun.

i was 16, in H.S. - probably hanging out at the old coffee shop in garden city that closed - MIB while trying to figure out what it stood for - we all thought it meant Money In Bank, but we never found out....
also, i was expecting my first nephew to be born which i thought was the coolest thing ever - being an aunt at 16 and it was fun, now i have 3 nephews!

This post makes me feel old. I was 25 and living in DC working for a magazine. I missed NY and all of my friends terribly, so fortunately I got let go from work in May 1996 and moved back home!

I was 26, living at home and getting out of an abusive relationship that lasted 4 years. I just moved to LI from Brooklyn so I had suburban "culture shock". I made a ton of friends with my coworkers (I also decided to work out here after working in NYC for five years) and all we did after work was party our brains out!!

10 years ago today I was 21 and we were out celebrating my friend's 21st birthday at Lucky Chengs...and they dressed up her then boyfriend (now DH) and the other guys with us in wigs and dresses.. and all the drunk people crashed at my apartment that night.  That was one of the most fun years of my life.

I was sitting in class waiting for bell to ring, daydreaming about my soon to be BF of 5 yrs...putting the final touches on our plan to cut school to go the city for the St. Patty's day parade, and I was still a virgin.
