just a job. it could be a career if i wanted to stay in this area of the field, but i don't. But, it is good experience towards what my 'career' will be, and i'll still be with the same organization, so i guess its like the waiting pool before i dive into my career

Career...I didn't go to school for this, but it has career capabilites--upward movement. It's not what I wanted to do, but I am content for now.

For me it's a career. 
I am working in the field that i have my undergraduate degree in and for the most part love it. Eversince the birth of my child i have started to consider it more of a job.

Yes, I agree. It's taken me years to realize that I could spend 24-7 on my courses and students but I am entitled to a life. I used to plan/grade until 11pm every night not anymore... I'm still a very good teacher but I just don't kill myself anymore. It doesn't define who I am.

Got my Masters in social work but fell into HR because it pays more money. I've gone up the "career ladder" in HR but in my mind its a job because I still don't know what i want to be when I grow up....I haven't found my "passion" I guess....
