Re: Make up: getting to know you...
What brands do you use? Estee Lauder, Clinique, Lancome (I am the person who uses the samples from bonus time!) and MAC Cover Girl, Revlon and L'oreal (drugstore)
What does your daily application consist of? After I moisturize, I apply foundation (clinique perfectly real) to areas that need it. Then if I'm doing my eyes, I do so, otherwise, I wiggle mascara. Then I'll add a bit of blush if I feel the need. I love lipstick, so I save that for last.
Where do you apply your make-up? I have a full length mirror inside my closet door. All my makeup is inside a chest in my closet (I have...a lot... ) and I sit on a stool and apply. I like the natural light and it's MY time.
Tips/Tricks/Secrets? I use brushes, like for concealor and lips. I also put on lip balm, then take it off a minute later. I line lips and actually use my lip brush to even out what I did with the pencil. Then I apply lipstick with a brush. Lasts longer.
Okay, I'm a dork...so, humor me.

Re: Make up: getting to know you...
I use Bare Ecentials , Bobbi Brown and Kohl's blushs.
I apply it in the bathroom and I dont have alot of time to apply makeup so I usually just put the foundation powder, a neutral eyeshadow, massacra, blush and lip gloss. I try to not spend more than 5 minutes. If I have a function to go to then I spend usually 15 minutes.

Re: Make up: getting to know you...
What brands do you use? Mostly MAC & Bare Escentuals. Lip Gloss/Lipstick though I have about 20 different brands.
What does your daily application consist of? Moisturizer and eye cream. In the summer eyeshadow (I am a 3 shade girl), liquid eyeliner, mascara, eyebrown pencil, sometimes a cheek stain, and gloss. The rest of the year I use Bare Escentuals powder foundation, some blush, and mineral veil.
Where do you apply your make-up? In my bathroom over the sink. I wish I had a larger countertop, so I didn't have to balance it.

Re: Make up: getting to know you...
I have a variety of makeup's that consist of really cheap over the counter stuff..maybelline, wet and wild, etc to more expensive stuff..like Mac, Estee Lauder, BB..I use EVERYTHING!!
I moisturize with Oil of Olay..apply concealer on zits only..don't like to cover my whole face ..I use a little bit of shadow and mascara...eyebrow gel..lip gloss..(don't really like lipstick)and MY TIP..is using Wet and Wild Bronzer..this stuff is the best and I got many of my friends/family hooked on it..
I apply my makeup in my bathroom..
Another tip..my skin gets dry and flaky, so sometimes I mix my moisturizer and cover up together b4 applying (sometimes the moisturizer is not enough for me). This gives it a double dose of moisturizer and covers up at the same time..

Re: Make up: getting to know you...
I just got into putting on m/u within the last few months.
products: Mac, Stila, Smashbox, Benefit, Prestige, some drug store brands (though my eyelids are oily so I need to use "good" eyeshadows and a primer or else it wipes right off)
everyday (except today, some days I need to remind myself that I am "naturally pretty" LOL)
tinted moisturizer, under eye concealer, eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush and or bronzer, lip stick or gloss.
I apply it in my bedroom.
any tips or advice for girls with smallish eyes would be greatly appreciated.

Highlighter in pink or white on the inner corners of your eyes. Neutrogena Sheer Shimmers are GREAT for this.

Have you tried BeneFit FYEye? It is THE BEST eyeshadow primer that I've tried and works well on oily lids. Also, I only line the outer corners of my eyes (from like the middle out) to make my eyes look bigger.
Makeup is my obsession. I buy WAY too much of it, but the ironic thing is that on a daily basis, I really don't wear that much makeup! I just love to buy it I always wear eyeliner, mascara, blush, and concealer. Some days, like today, I'll wear eyeshadow and Bare Minerals also.
I use Christian Dior (they have THE BEST undereye concealer - has lasted me for about 4 years), M.A.C., Bare Minerals, Bobbi Brown, Lancome, BeneFit.
Tips - if I go heavy on the eyes, I go light on the lips. I always put my mascara on first and then my eyeshadow. It prevents getting mascara marks on my eyeshadow.
I apply my makeup at my little makeup table, using my lighted makeup mirror (that I got when I was like 17!)

Just apply mascara to your top lashes - it makes your eyes appear larger...

Re: Make up: getting to know you...
What: Mario Badescu moisturizers; Lancome Makeup
How: Eye cream and face cream Then under eye concealer, powder, blush, eyeliner, and lipstick. Mascara if I'm going out or on the weekends.
(I sit at a computer all day at work and my eyes get tired and I rub them, so mascara doesn't work well for me at work)
Where: In my bedroom. If I'm going out and wearing eye shadow, then I do my eyes in the bathroom where the lighting is better.
Tips: Not a tip really, but I change my colors depending on the season. Lighter powder in the winter than the summer, different blushes and lipsticks too.
It looks so wrong when I see a very tan person wearing pale foundation or powder on their face b/c it's the same color they wear in the winter. Or a dark line on their jawline from wearing too dark a foundation that matches their tan skin in the summer but is too dark for the winter.

Re: Make up: getting to know you...
Okay... What brands do you use? I'm all about Dior right now. I got through phases. It's been Dior for the past 5 months. I love it.
What does your daily application consist of? concealer, Dior spray foundation (like an airbrush), blush. I like a red sheer gloss with black eyeliner, mascara and a light peach eyeshadow. Or I will go all out on the eyes but with a sheer light gloss. Heavy eye or lip, never both
Where do you apply your make-up? In my bed. :) I have two train cases from Sephora I keep next to my bed so I just lay in bed and put it on in the morning. I'm too cold to get out of bed.

Re: Make up: getting to know you...
Brands: bare esscentals foundation. stila eyeshadow. benefit benetint, almay mascara, benfit lipstick, stila under eye concealer, benefit medicated stick for covering up zits, benefit eye brightening pencil
Daily application - underyeye concealer, if I have a zit I use the cover up. brush on foundation, rub a little tint into my cheeks, put a little brightening pencil in the corners of my eyes, sometimes put on eyeshadow and mascara on weekdays.
I put make up on in my bedroom.
Tips- hmm.. some products go a long way. Like I can use the tint on my cheeks and my lips. Sometimes if I use blush I also double it as an eyeshadow.
and I ALWAYS wear moisturizer with suncreeen on my face and neck

Re: Make up: getting to know you...
Brands: Bare Escentuals. I don't think I will ever go back, I even have a prefered customer card.
I apply the mousturizer cream, then apply foundation, concealer, bronzer, then the mineral veil, then eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara and lastly lipstic or gloss.
Where: in my bathroom or sometimes in the livingroom next to the window.
I can't think of any tips or tricks right now.

Re: Make up: getting to know you...
Brands: MAC, Clinique, Urban Decay, and a few others
Daily Application: Tinted Moisturizer, light blush, mascara, gloss and a little bronzer for a sun kissed look.
I apply my makeup in my bathroom or in my car if I am short on time...lol
Tips: I use dark (brown or black) to line my eyes for that dramatic look. Wet "eyeliner brush" and dip into shadow (so it does not fall onto your face)...Line upper and just below your lower lid, then apply mascara.
Also - I make sure that when I intend to wear eyeshadow I lightly dust my eyelids with loose powder to "set" and assure long lasting wear of shadow.

Re: Make up: getting to know you...
I love this topic
Brands: Mac, Revlon, Lancome, Maybelline Great Lash (been using it since I was 13)
Daily App: Moisturizer, Foundation & light pressed powder (if necessary), eye shadow, mascara and some bronzer I only use eyeliner for evenings and weekends
Where: When I lived at home it was my bedroom, but since moving in with DH it's the bathroom. It was a major adjustment, but now I like it so much better
Tips/Tricks: You DON'T have to spend $25 on mascara. Great Lash is about $4 and hands down the best I've ever used and I've tried them all. My sister does make-up professionally and she uses it.
