Well i am pretty sure that is them. They were leaving from NJ going to Bermuda on the same cruise line.
But i will still keep my fingers crossed 
i took that same cruise 11 months ago - it IS the only cruise that leaves NJ on a Sunday and goes to Bermuda.  I feel so horrible for them - but hey, my FILs cruised to Halifax and the great white north on that same ship, and had a blast.
They don't deserve this

i agree!! I hope they still manage to have a great time.... and I'm sure this is going to be a great story to tell their kids and grandkids... eventhough it stinks right now

What a bummer! Our cruise was last week and when we left the island of Tortola the captain had to sail out a couple of miles further out to sea to avoid Franklin who would have been in our path had the captain not gone around.
We hit rough waters too. So it's really risky down there right now, however I wouldn't want to go to Canada either. They should offer refunds. Why should people have to settle for going to a place where it's colder.

Hopefully they're able to turn this negative into a positive...at the very least, it makes for a GREAT story!
The forecasted low temperature in Bermuda for today is 78 degrees. In Halifax, it's 51.
This comment is so deceptive. The day time temperature in both places are in the low 80's...and at night, Halifax is due to drop to the high 60's and Bermuda will be in the high 70's. (According to weather.com)...

Oh they sure do!!!!!
Seriously if this happened, they should give people an option to go back home. I tend to think a vacation to Canada is a bit different from one to Bermuda.

If the cruise line is monitoring the situation - and I am sure they are - then they should have contacted all the passengers (yes all) to advise that they may be diverted to Canada, so they could at LEAST pack appropriately!
I think when you book a cruise this is the risk you take and there is no legal loophole if the cruise line decides to change the itinerary because of inclimate weather. BUT...they SHOULD make more of an effort to advise people!
THat being said, I would never book a Carribean cruise July-November. Just look at the history weather-wise. And if I did, I would stay on top of the weather reports and pack accordingly, knowing that cruise lines may have to change their itineraries.
