Tomm. is our (UPDATE*)
1st Dr. appo. I am nervous but excited at the same time~~   
Update:
WEll we went for the 1st app. and when we walk in my DH was the only man there, he was like ooooooommmmmmmggggggg, i am the only guy here! I started laughing! anyway i was really nervous and shaking, but whatever, so we went in and saw the nurse they weighed me, then asked me ????, then the Dr. came in and told me that i tested positive for the preggo test, i was like duh......  but then they made my DH LEave he got really upset bc he wanted to stay and i wanted him to stay but the Dr. said it was very uncomfortable for him to be there..... they did full exam, and a pap then asked more ???? All in all my Dh was not happy bc he wanted to be there for me and he could not bc she kicked him out, so when i got out he was like ***, is she a lesb. and wanted to be alone with u i was like nah i guess she was not comfortable with u there o well so our next app is the sonnogram on Sept 18, so i hope he can stay then !!! HE will get soooo mad if is cant so my question to you girls is Is it normal that the men get kicked out of the room?

you got it girls!! I was really nervous about the blood test bc i get bad anxiety about needls but when they called to confirm earlier today i asked and they don't do blood work in the office.... phewwwwwwwww for me but does it need to be done or can you go a whole preg. without getting blood work? DH is like I am going to be there so don't worry but is not that easy when you have this bad of a feeling about it............ TIA

just so you are prepared, they may not do an ultrasound at your first appointment, they made me come back for mine
I went for my first appointment when I was 7 weeks and 1 day and I had my ultrasound when I was 10w, 4d

I could be wrong, but I really dont' think one can go a whole pregnancy without getting blood drawn. There are tests, like the glucose test for example, that need to be done.

That is sooooooooo weird! My dh stayed during the whole thing. I would watch how the practice runs bc if your dh has to sit outside everytime I would find a new dr. What I found really weird was that you said there were no men. That is highly unusual. I see dh's everywhere in my office. Just make sure they are friendly to both preggo and dhs. you wouldnt want him to miss the experiences. I had to change right away for similiar reasons and I am soooooo much happier where I am.

I would find another Dr if they won't let your DH there. My Dr allows DH to be there every time, the entire time. It is his child too.

that is crazy - my DH has been in at every appointment - even when they did the pap. there is no reason why they kicked him out. i would not have liked that at all.
ETA - but i'm glad it all went well!!
