did you let the alcohol dry before you injected. Sometimes if the alcohol is still wet from the swab it will sting. Also I found that it hurt less if I let the medicine sit for a few minutes to get to room temp. It will get easier!!
Im gonna try that, thanks for the tips.
Kara- Dont be scared...I dont hear too many people coplaining about so it coudl just be Im a COMPLAINER...LOL
Pauline is right. Also make sure that the liquid hasn't dripped out onthe tip of the needle. That smarts!!!

you let the alcohol dry? you used room temp meds? no medicine dripped out?
Did you pinch the area you were injecting?
I also found that it was easier when I injected myself (I am a control freak), but also it was nice if DH could rub my back while I did it. The pleasure sensation overrides the pain sensation.
It will get better. Your almost done! (1/3 of the way right?)

If the pain is from the injecting into the skin you may want to try Elma cream (Lignocaine). It numbs the area. I know Freedom Pharmacy has it , but I am sure any fertility pharmacy does as well.

It hurts right after Its injecting...While the needle is still in, but about to be pulled out. Or as its injecting I guess.
The needle itself, I dont even FEEL. I dont even know when it goes in. Its as soon as he pushes down on the syringe.
Its Bravelle and its a room temp med( no refrigeration needed)
I tried pinching...today I didnt and it hurt a "little bit" less.
And yes dh makes a little pop of the med come out to get rid of air? Is that bad?
I am almost ready to say forget this, cause I DREAD those 2-3 minutes...I mean its over SO fast that I should just **** it up, but OUCH

If he does that, change the needle after so its a clean fresh one. That could very well be why its stinging so much!!

the Bravelle has a Q cap? So we dont have to mix it with a needle. Should we just NOT push the med out. ( does it make sense how I described it?. He pushes so he sees a bubble of it pop out the top)

WHat is a Q cap? Is it premixed in a syringe already, or is it in the pen form? I never did Bravelle, I do Repronex...

a Q cap is this thing you put on the syringe and then you dont need to use a needle to inject the saline and then the powder. I guess it doesnt matter. We do mix it, and then put on a needle and DH taps it and then pushes it till he gets a bubble of liquid come out the tip

When you do it tomorrow, try it w/o pushing out the med before you inject, and see if it helps.

the q-cap shouldnt have anything to do with it. I think what you are probably feeling is the amount of fluid that is being injected. Maybe he can try pushing it in faster or slower. I had a simliar problem with the menopur (the one I used the qcap for) 1mL of fluid is a pretty decent amount for a sub cutaneous injection.
Honestly if you can try pushing it yourself this way you can go faster if you can or slower if it hurts. And a strong massage from danny during will hep distract you. The first few times I hated doing my menopur injection.
Dont give up!!!! You can do this

You're not being a baby at all!! It can sting pretty badly, you just have to figure out why...
And, everyone has a different pain threshold...I'm the girl who pierced her own ears with a safety pin at camp...lol.

Are you getting the air bubbles out, I noticed times when I had air bubbles still in the syringe, it HURT

Dr didnt say much. The burnign sometimes happens with Bravelle.
Turns out I was not a good responder at all. Have only 1 follicle and it could even be a cyst 
We have IUIS scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday.
I think I may be numb because to be 100% honest, I dont care right now if it works or not. I know its bad to say that, hope is the one thing we still have but Im just tired of working sooo hard at it, its not getting to me so much, Im not stressed, Im just ambivelant and its kinda weird.
