LIF friends

Do you find it soo interesting how you became "friends" with certain people here....

Or it has been sooo long that you wonder when it actually was when you became friends...

I do find it interesting.
I think that I became friends with certain people because we were going thru a similiar event/topic together...I would think we were great friends but take away that one event/topic and I see that the frienship has no substance.

Others, I don't know when I became friends with them, but I have recently figured out that these women are just like me. The value friendship like me, they are supportive, they are kind, they are understanding, they are tehre for laughs, they are their for cries...we have been a part of each others lives from houses, to marriage, to miscarriages ect.
It recently dawned on my just how special these friendships are and what they mean to me.

Actually you are what made me think of this thread...

I have no idea when we became friends...
I kinda remember the mutual michael moore thing...

this is what my brain holds onto....i posted about mm being a jackazz...and you hijacked it....big surprise , and we just started talking.....

and i became freindly with jackie when she fm'd me about my bnl avatar on liw....

its def odd.... i feel very close to many on here but obviously one specific person would be felicia.... felicia and i met on the LIW site after me and my longterm bf broke up, her and other pple helped me threw that and me and flee clicked and have been best buds since then, we even have the same birthday and have come to find we have led extremely similar lives..

Yes Sarah, I am so annoyed that the nearest place they are touring is Mohegan Sun!! I keep getting e-mails for presales to shows I can't go to.

Now, to get back to the topic...I don't remember how I became friends with most people on here, but for the most part, they are women who I would gravitate toward in "real" life. I don't feel like a lot of my friendships on here are as close as the ones a lot of others have, but I think that's b/c I'm much more reserved about coming close with people who I've never met or who I've only met a couple of times.

This is a great question Red, since just the other day I was sitting around thinking "how did I become such good friends" with so many people on here...

I agree with Deb wholeheartedly that often its a similar situation or circumstances that lead two people to chat by FM.. but then once either person's situation changes, that so-called friendship dwindles away..

But throughout the course of my time on LIWs and now LIFs, I really have an formed an amazing group of ladies (and gents ) that I call TRUE FRIENDS and yet I somehow wonder how we actually DID get that close Its so wonderful yet so weird too! For instance Red, I still am unsure to this day how we got so friendly!! I think it started with the Yankee/Mets stuff but yet I consider you a great friend and I'm baffled as to what really started it all And that goes for so many of my girls, I have no idea what really solidified our friendship!

I can remember become friends with Michi and Don/Boosh clearly, since we were all part of that 'classless' thing and once we met at our first GTG, we really grew tight and realized that we were all cut from the same mold and we all became awesome friends

What's the MOST funnyto me is that it has been my experience that often those people you did NOT think you would get along with, wind up being the people you become friends with!! Case in point... Don and I did NOT get along on the boards, in fact we were polar opposite (still are, actually) so the fact we wound up being such great friends is one of the things we truly laugh about today

Michi you put it best when it comes to us.. I STILL am not 100% sure HOW you and I got to be such close friends either.. all I know is that we went from talking on LIWs to chatting by email and we really got each OTHER thru some really bad times (and good times) and you have been my girl throughout it all. Yes it did start out with all the talking we'd do on LIWS/NWR with regards to your breakup.. then we just embraced that whole classless thing with Don etc But you and I did really 'bond' beyond taht because I see SO much of myself at your age in you, and we do lead eerily parallel lives.. so its so true when I call ya "little sis" becase you are so much my 'sis' its uncanny
