In the end, I feel I may look a mess but it's all worth it.
I think he took my age into consideration 35 - and the amount of time we were ttc.

First off congrats and welcome!!! Happy and healthy 9 months!!!

And i don't mean to refute what your doctor said either, but there should be no reason whatsover not to fly..it makes no sense really, especially being that early. I would maybe talk to someone else about that cause my doctors said I could run a marathon if the mood struck me in the beginning. At any rate, good luck to you and your little one!!

Yeah this scared me a bit too b/c I flew in my first trimester. I guess that's why you're supposed to ask your doctor things - not rely on what other people's doctors tell them. Maybe he has his reasons. Either way, I doubt you will look bad by the end of your pregnancy, I'm sure you will be glowing!!! Chat Icon

I think the flying thing probably has to do with the fact that he doesn't want her to do anything that will stress her body. She said he took her age and amount of time TTC in consideration, so maybe he feels its best to take it easy in the beginning, and flying can get very stressful.

I also flew in the beginning and had no trouble, but I didn't have any risk factors.

I realize now there were certain reasons why he recommended you wait on flying...sorry for posting that I thought it shouldn't be a problem! I need to learn to read better :) Anyways, congrats again!!
