Even with a woman doctor, it's always so uncomfortable.

My old gyno on SI had one pic with the pets.com sock puppet, and another of a pregnant belly with a smiley face on it. Those always made me smile and relax a bit!

Re: going to the gyno

I hear ya!

And going to the RE, ( reproductive specialist) I have gone 15 times in less then 3 months and each and every one involves an internal sono.....It becomes second nature and thats a scary thing.

I count the ceiling tiles.

And why does the Gyno talk to me. I am in no condition to be having a conversation about the weather Chat Icon Chat Icon

I've recently experienced an internal sonogram. She was exactly "gentle" about it.

Re: going to the gyno

I found a great Dr and honestly, I really don't mind it. After having so many problems "down there", I've had about 20 internal sonos--- a regular gyno exam is DEFINITELY better than that!!!

I hear ya!! After you've had an internal sono (and I'm sure the pregnant ladies can attest to even WORST internalsfurther along into pregnancy Chat Icon) that by the time you just go back to normal OBGYN exams, it seems like a day at the parkChat Icon

BUT its never "fun" that's for sure Chat Icon

I really like the practice I go to but you know stirrups and being spreadeagle is just an awkward position for conversation.
