Someone who made you feel special

Did you ever have someone who made you feel special?

I don't know if this is what you mean, but I am a teacher and I've had parents make me feel special. Not like they want to get to know me or anything, just that I've really influenced their child.

The kids that I have seen as therapy clients over the years certainly make me feel that way.

There is this little old man that comes into the bar where I work. He hadn't been around in over a year and I was kinda curious as to what had happened to him. A few months ago, he showed back up. I remembered his drink and then a while later went up to sing a set. When he left he handed me a note. It was talking about how he appreciated that I remembered him and how much I had grown vocally in the past few years. He said that my voice was a gift that he was glad I decided to share with the world. I thought it was so sweet and I keep it in my wallet to read when I get depressed about my career.

Yes, absolutely. My boss is especially good at making me feel special. He always takes the time to leave me a note in my mail box when he thinks I've done something particularly well, or he'll compliment my way with the kids.
I know I am close in age to his daughter, and I always get the feeling I remind him of her (she lives out of state), and he always tells me stories about her and how proud of her he is. And when he compliments me, I always feel like he's talking to me as a "dad". It's sweet.

I used to work at a day treatment center and the father of one of the ladies in my class was soooo nice. He came around here and there to 'drop in' and would always bring me a little gift with a card or he would send me a card/letter for my birthday and ALWAYS wrote about how thankful he was to have me looking over his daughter, etc... He would get all teary-eyed when he hugged me and just made me feel good- the small part I had in his daughter's life really meant alot to him.
Unfortunately, after leaving that job(had my daughter) I ran into him a few months later at the store he'd been working at and he totally gave me the cold shoulder and was 'in a hurry' and didn't have time to chat

A nice story where fh and i both felt very special:

fh and i went to washington d.c. over july 4th. we ended up meeting the tailor of the president (and of all presidents since lynden johnson), he also makes suits for trump, condi rice, kifi anon- you name it, he made a suit for them.

anyway, this man took such a liking to us...invited us to his shoppe to see the fancy fabrics with political figurehead names on each one..all the pictures of his famous clients....quite an experience

he then offered to make fh's tuxedo for the wedding...we thought he was joking because he charges $5,000+ for a suit....well he gave FH a HUGE discount..almost the cost of a rental...

We met him in NYC last weekend for the final fitting. He treated FH like he was his best client.
It was so nice- it brought tears to my eyes. FH felt so special -George treated him as if he was fitting his best client.

Then today i found out he is coming to our wedding. I am so excited and DH is beyond words excited. This man took such a liking to us, treating us like family. It really touched my heart.

I don't remember the last time I felt special.. I've been completely stressed out lately that no wonder my hair is falling out
