We went to the first game Pedro pitched at Shea last year, which was so much fun. Hopefully, we'll get to go to a bunch this year.

We did too. That game was fun! I remember the crowd going nuts when Pedro came out...

DH and I have to get to a Met game before the baby is due because we won't be able to go to anymore games this summer with a newborn around. The newest little Met fan! There is no other team we would allow him to be a fan of...

I would say what my parents told my brother "If the Yankees ever play the Mets at Shea we can go then" This was before the "subway series" games.
I would take our child to a subway series game if they were a Yankee fan, my Dh would disown them.

I'm a Yankee fan *don't hate!  * but my DH is a hardcore Mets fan and for his b-day I got him tix to the Mets/Braves game in Atl. Lower level, next to the Mets bullpen. I'm very excited!!

If my son insists on being a yankee fan (even after he has therapy) then I would probably allow it, as long as all the yankee **** stays in his room. But we are going to do everything in our power to persuade him to be a Mets fan. I'm going to start young.
