Dad was 24
Mom was 27 (married originally at like 23, but 1st husband died 7 wks later)
They have been married for 33 years!!

Mom: 19
Dad: 23 (1 month shy of 24)
They were married for 16 years when they separated and finally got divorced after a 22-year separation.
So I guess they were technically married for 38 years but really only 16.

Wow!! This post is making me realize how much older my parents were in comparison to others. I guess in the 70's (or even 80's) it really was strange to have someone married for the first time in their thirties.

OMG how sad is it that I dont know?? I think my mom was 22 and my dad was 33 ( it was his 2nd marriage) they were married for 17 years.
DH's mom was 20 and my FIL was 33 ( yup big age difference) and they are still married 34 years later.
But she was 14 when they got engaged

Wow!! This post is making me realize how much older my parents were in comparison to others. I guess in the 70's (or even 80's) it really was strange to have someone married for the first time in their thirties.
My DH's parents were older too- his mom was 35 and his dad was 37 when they got married in '68. My own parents had already been married for almost a year at that point. They were 20 and 22 and will celebrate 38 years next month. I can't imagine- I have only known DH for a little more than 2!

My Mom was 34 and my Dad was 32 when they married in the late 70s. My Mom was quite content being single (she had been propsed to twice before) and my father was previously engaged a couple of years before. My parents actually had been broken up a couple of weeks when my father asked my mother to dinner for his birthday and she was nice enough to say ok and he proposed. Still married ( I wouldn't say happily, but I wouldn't say unhappily either - depends which day and who you ask ! LOL!)

They got married beacuse of yours truly.
She finally divorced him 14 months later.
Got remarried at 24. He was 23.

Knew each other 1 month and got engaged after my father pulled the car over on the freeway and proposed. Romantic huh? This from the same man that got my mom a lawnmower for Mothers Day a few years ago.  You just gotta know him to appreciate the humor..

Dad- 24
They were married in 1964 and that was a bit older for then. They were very happily married until my mom was hit and killed by a car in April of 1979. They were married for 15 years. I was 8 and my brother was 5 days shy of his 5th birthday.
My Dad went on to remarry twice after that. Neither marriage worked out.

Lasted a fabu 12 years...divorced right after I was born...wonder how come it didn't last? 
Mom was a sexy divorcee with 3 kids at 27!

Mom was 23, dad 24. They got divorced 10 years later. (I was supposed to be the baby that saved their marriage )
Dad got remarried at like 35, mom at 36. Both of their second marriages are still going strong!
