ugggh! that was so rude of her. I would have offered to pay for gas and parking and if you insisted on not taking my money I would have definitely treated to food and drink at the concert.

My friends & I don't ever do the chip in for gas thing (we figure it all works out in the end) but one of the non-drivers will always offer to pay tolls or parking or something.

That's definitely rude - I would have offered at the very least.
That reminds me - I have a friend whom I invited to see a show with me because my company gave me free, front row tickets. I drove us, paid for parking and even paid for an $80 dinner at the show because we were starving and none of the food at the stands were to his "liking" He never offered a dime! That was almost 3 years ago and I STILL get mad when I think about it!!!
