You should get the "Unoffical Guide to WDW" it's incredible!!!

Even if you're not an obsessive planner (Iam) You should maybe plan which park/parks you want to go to each day and at LEAST plan your evenings.

There are so many nighttime events (Spectromagic, Wishes, Illuminations, Fantasmic!), that between that and your dinners without careful planning it's hard to see them all.

We always see Wishes several times, usually the first night, the last night and once from California Grill.

Our first day EVER in Disney we went to 3 parks We spent the day at MK, saw Fantasy in the Sky, took monorail to EPCOT for Illuminations and then the bus I think to MGM for Fantasmic! all in one night!

WOW! OK IM GONNA GET THAT BOOK TODAY..cause i wanna plan as well as i can so we make the most of our time ya kno :)

That book is the BEST. I swear. it details every restaraunt, every ride, everything ever. including which are the best days to go to which park, and it even has a detailed planning guide like you can follow it to the T to get the most rides for your time. It tells you in detail about every ride, wait time, etc.

with that book I travelled like a pro on my FIRST trip, and I was able to get everything in and i wasn't overwhelmed, I was informed.

You see a lot of people wandering around aimlessly, with this book you will not be one of them!

Also, there is an "official" guide to WDW. it's ok, but the unofficial is all you need, it tells you the good, the bad and the ugly!

Let me know what questions you have

and you won;'t gain weight at disney..so much WALKING

They say you walk an average of 5-7 miles per day when you are at Disney.

That should keep the pounds off.

And I also think the Unofficial Guide is excellent. We used it a lot last month when we went.

They also have a website kind of like LIW for Disney. http://www.disboards.com/index.php?

Also my DH and I love the Hoopte Do Musical Review we never laughed so hard before. Also if you go to Pleasure Island you have to check out the Adventures Club it is so funny.

Wolfgang puck has a restaurant on the waterfron in Disney.

You should review the menus before you go because my DH and I went to this restaurant and hated the food and it was very expensive too. We did enjoy the Wolfgang puck downstairs restaurant, but the upstairs restaurant the food was not that good.

At Epcot I loved the Japanese and Moroccan restaurants and you have to have a drink in the English pubChat Icon

I love the Crystal Palace for lunch at Magic Kingdom - we always go for my niece's b/day and have lunch with pooh. My 2nd childhood - I love it!

I had dinner at Emeril's at Universal and thought it was so overated. The best meal I had was at a place in Pleasure Island that's like a big steamboat, I just can't remember the name.

I agree - Emeril's was awful!!

Re: I went to disney, and you hafta eat at _______ restaurant...

We usually end up going to the same restaurants every time we are there but these are some of my favorites.

Kona Cafe - Polynesian. Excellent food and the best desserts and coffee - right next to Ohanas and a lot less crowded.

Garden Grill - Epcot - delicious food that is served family style and you get to see Chip and Dale.

Chef Mickeys - Contemporay Resort - awesome breakfast

California Grill - Contemporary Resort - very romantic

Casey's - MK - awesome hotdogs - always go for lunch at least once.

Spoodles - Boardwalk - Fun place and right down the street from Jelly Rolls

Cinderella's Castle - went for breakfast and lunch - never really liked the food but you can't beat the atomsophere and it's the Castle - you have to go there at least once.

There are so many places:

Yacht/Beach Club:
Yachstmen Steakhouse is a sentimental favorite with great food & service. It's pricy though.

Beaches & Cream -- best burgers ever! And yummy ice cream.

Cape May Cafe has a good seafood buffet.
(They are all across from the Boardwalk which is fun for evening entertainment -- espn, dance club & piano bar).

Port Orleans Riverside:
Boatrights, nothing outrageous but really good food. The lounge here has a fabulous performer that is a must see IMO.

Downtown Diseny:
Earl of Sandwich for something quick & good.

Portabella's Yacht Club -- loved this place!! Diverse menu -- all of it was good.

MGM:
Sci Fi Cafe -- you sit in a convertible in a "drive-in movie" - great for ambiance!

Prime Time -- for home cookin' & tom foolery with the wait staff.

Magic Kingdom:
Cinderalla's castle - they are all buffet now and I think you need to hold your reservation with a credit card now. This is a hot ticket, so you should call asap.

Casey's Hot Dogs -- I don't know what they do, but they are fabulous and have a rag time player outside.

Libertry Tree Tavern has a nice lunch. I have never been for dinner-- they have a character family style meal in the evenings.

Epcot: Pretty much take your pick, it's all good :D

There's a ton more, but except for the Castle, places we try to go every visit.

It's almost as much fun to plan a trip as it is to be there -- it really builds up the excitement. You can make call to make advance dining reservations 180 days before your date of arrival through the end of your trip. Have your reservation number available.
