I have the shuffle. It's the size of a stick of gum and holds 120 songs. It's perfect for my train ride ... not too noticable.

I have the mini and love it. It is cute and is perfect for the train and the gym. I don't need the extra storage space of the regular. My mini holds over 500 songs as it is!

I agree - I love the mini...I keep it in a sock and toss it in my bag - it's always with me! LOL
However, it doesn't hold nearly enough songs for me. I have over 600 songs on it and I've had to remove whole albums 3 times already.

I have only 15 songs on my shuffle right now. I'm so bad with this stuff. I think I need to add some songs this weekend.

I have a regular IPOD, and we have 2000 songs and still room to spare. Plus I love the fact that I was able to engrave it for DH.

Yes, the 4G (claims to) holds 1k songs and the 6G holds 1500. I have the 4G and I have about 670 songs with room for maybe another 5 or 10.
It's a rough estimate - I guess if you average 3 minute songs then it's possible. However I have a 19+ minute Massive Attack song hogging up my space. 
They also claim to have up to 18 hours of music on a single charge - and that's just plain silly. I can get 6-8 hrs on a single charge.

Same problem here - though I love it (it's got about 750 songs on it) - I wish I had gotten more capacity. Live and learn!

It was a gift from DH but he bought it at the apple store in Huntington. He's a snob - that's the only place he'll buy his apple "stuff" from.  But I think the price is pretty much the same anywhere you go...

My brother ordered my mini as a birthday gift direct from Apple. I think there was free shipping at the time (and free engraving, which I guess is kinda silly but cute in a way).
I only have 400 songs but have a lot of room still (I have the 6GB but got bored downloading/transfering songs).
Target seems to have a lot in stock too.
