Same problem here - though I love it (it's got about 750 songs on it) - I wish I had gotten more capacity. Live and learn!
I know - DH keeps telling me he'll replace it with a regular iPod...but I don't want to give it up  It's way too cute! LOL
I don't really mind having to remove songs in order to add more stuff...while there are core artists that will never be removed, I tend to get bored easily so the change up is nice.

you can get the reg ipod for about the same $$$ as the mini and the 20kg holds like a gagillion songs.

my boss gave me my mini for Christmas! I love it...makes my train ride to the city much better. I have about 800 songs on it now..and it holds 1500. Plenty for me.

IMO the reg one is just a LITTLE bit bigger and a little more $ and a LOT more worth it...holds SO much more!
ETA: and the diff in price is only like $50!

I would get the smaller mini over the larger unit.
If you ever find out you need to put more songs on the mini... you can tell iTunes to lower the listening quality down to 96k. You will most likely not hear any difference between 96k and the standard 128-160k that apple uses to approximate how many songs they can fit on each iPod.

I have the min and I LOVE it, I didnt see a reason for the regular because I really only use it for the gym, or walking...mostly excercise...sometimes when reading....I only have like 200 songs on mine right now..

I have a mini and love it- I bought it at Comp USA because the sale at the time came with a free itrip so I could play it through my car radio.
Check the sundays papers- all the stores run different specials (like Best Buy, Circuit City)

its close to the same....like the mini is $199 and the next model is $299 - and it holds so much more. if you are going to be spending the $, why not get the good one

i said the same thing - I bought the 20 gig, and I have over 2500 songs right now, with PLENTY of room for more!

I don't have an ipod, but I have a Dell DJ which is the dell version of the ipod. I have the 15 GB one and I am almost out of room.

I dont have an Ipod but I have the Irivers. Kinda the same thing only mine is a 40G, should hold about 20,000 songs.
I have about 6,000 on at the moment.
Took me months to put that much on it.
