I had it done about 5 1/2 years ago and it was the best thing I did. My mom and my sister also had it done.

so how are you feeling?
When I had mine done three years ago - waking up the next day was actually emotional for me! I could see everything for the first time in 20 years.....I remember tearing up when I saw the weather map on TV - I just cried to my mom that the colors are more vivid that I ever knew!

Don't be a chicken like Kevin, he was the WORST!!! They made him sit in another room so he wouldn't scare the other patients!!! 
It'll be over before you know it....

Hey Everyone!! IM BACK!!
Thanks everyone for your well wishes!!
I wasnt allowed on the computer for two days, but i think I have been away long enough!!
The actual Lasik was super easy... a bit scary, but i did okay... they give you a teddy bear to hold onto and i think i might have scqueezed the crap out of it!! The worst part was when they were getting you ready for the actaul surgery... they best feeling i can equate it to is when you get your eye makeup done professionally and she does the bottom eyeliner... i always get squeemish for that part... well that is what it felt like... after the surgery they put goggles on you and send you on your way home, i just felt a bit dizzy.... I had to take an ambien so i would sleep for a few hours... i woke up and felt great! DH called me fly girl all night... because i guess i looked like a fly with those goggles taped on!!! no reading, compt, cooking, cleaning, or much else for two days... I had a check up appt this morning and he said everything is looking great... i was able to drive there with NO GLASSES OR CONTACTS!! I still cant see 100% though, but he said that should improve in a week or soo... im a bit disappointed and hope that it gets better because i heard most people see 20/20 immediately after the surgery...
