Would You Ever Change Your E-Ring Setting?
I'm curious at what others think. I have a solitaire and an eternity wedding band. I think it would be nice to in the future add a diamond to either side of my e-ring. Thoughts?

I would.
I was supposed to get a new setting for my e-ring since it does not sit flush with my w-ring but recently changed my mind. maybe I'll change it down the road at a special anniversary, but not right now.
I also have a solitaire e-ring and I must have looked at every setting ever made! after looking for months I realized that I love the look of a solitaire more than anything else. tastes change though... so maybe in the future.
ETA: my rings are platinum and the prices of plat have skyrocketed recently!! That was also one of the reasons why I changed my mind about getting a new one now. I would have had to pay so much $$ and they didn't want to give me more than a few hundred for my old setting, which is more substantial than what I would have gone with.

Solitaire has always been my favorite, but I'm liking the look of a three stone, as long as the center diamond is the highest. I probably would never do it; just curious.

I wouldn't. I picked the setting out months before we were engaged. DH went back to the place and purchased the same one. I love it.

I sometimes think about it. I have a plain solitare ring but my wedding band has filigree and engraving on the sides. I always wear them together. DH picked my engagement rimg, I designed my wedding band. I might change it to go more with my wedding band.

i have the Lucida band and it is imo it is tooo much metal
so i still want a Solitaire but a thinner band

NO, DH got me the ring I always wanted. Gold band four orings with a round solitare diamond in the middle, no sidestones...its perfect.

I love my ring---but if I were to change anything it would be to get a larger center stone and maybe to raise the stone a bit as well. I would have to make a new piece of jewlery out of my current stone though because it has the whole sentimental thing, you know?
What I would LOVE to do and would do in a heartbeat if we had the money would be to get a wedding band that matches my e-ring. I have an antique style eternity ering and just a plain white gold wedding band which was my DH's mom's wedding band and they passed them onto us when we got married.

Yep...I've had my ring for 10 years and I would love a change.
I have a marquis (which I still love) and it is rather large (almost 2 karats) so I would just love to reset it in platinum (currently in yellow gold- it was the rage in 1996).
I might have them irrodium plated for now and then do a more drastic change on our 10th anniversary (in a year and a half).
