IMO...most people just by looking at a ring wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
But NO i wouldn't judge someone if they had one. It isn't about the diamond it is about the commitment in which it is given!

Sure I would. I think Diamonds are such a waste of money! Not everyone can afford it but the thought or commitment is still the same.

no, I would never. MY BF just got engaged and her ring is so pretty but the diamond is small. Still it looks great....her friend asked to see it and when she saw it she said and I quote " Oh, that ring is cute...for you." W.T.F, so RUDE!

wow, that is totally rude. I had a girl who was like, a day over the legal age who got engaged to this big-shot broker who has a ton of cash....she got a 4.5 carat ring & insisted on saying things to me like. "oh your size ring is so...practical. " and "oh, it suits you" I wanted to rip her face off - totally RUDE

Before DH and I were engaged, Id take one of those large obnoxious looking e-rings in walmart and walk around the store!

BTW, when I went to Vegas for my bachelorette, DH didn't want me to wear my ring, so I bought a big fake from Dress Barn (of all places!!) and everyone was like...ooohhh...nice ring!!!

I would never judge anyone for that. My friend has a CZ ring and it is BEAUTIFUL!!! Her husband wanted to get her a diamond but she insisted on a CZ beacuse she was engaged once before and had a 3.75ct ring and was so scared to wear it. Now she can do whatever she wants with this ring

One of the girls that works for me has a CZ engagement ring. She is so proud of it and treasures it as much as I treasure mine. I would never judge anyone who wears one.

I think I'm in the minority (or probably being sincere)... I would totally me SECRETLY judgemental if I saw someone who had a fake diamond ring if it was too gaudy! For example, if the CZ was 3cts, I would SO know that it's fake, and judge the person for flaunting trying to pass it as real.
However, if I saw someone wearing a 1ct CZ ring, I'm sure that I couldn't tell the difference, and wouldn't care to, as long as that person was happy....
Please don't beat me up for my sincerity
