Just read the update...I'm sorry. Hopefully this will be a positive change...it's amazing how things workout.
I don't know of any jobs in the publishing field, but I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled!

Update:
So its bad news. They laid off 300+ people and I was one of them. My termination date is November 22nd, so I have to find a new job by then.
Does anyone know of any jobs in publishing?

THanks for all the warm wishes, they are MUCH appreciated.
I went home early (as pretty much everyone I work with did) to update my resume and start getting it out to places. I am trying to apply to every publishing company out there for editorial positions, so when you name companies, it really helps!!
I will definitely keep you all posted on my job hunt!!

I had the exact same thing happen to me several years ago. It does in fact suck, but you will find another job!
