So, I gave my boyfriend the ultimatum.....
I told him that by this time next year I'd like us to be engaged, and if that's not what he foresees then we need to discuss it.  I almost couldn't believe that I said it.....and he smiled at me and said he was completely cool with that  I know it's silly, but it really made me happy...

I think it is a good move to talk about your future and make sure you are both on the same page- that's what DH and I did....

I agree. I have too many friends who are still sitting around waiting for their boyfriends to make a move. It's ridiculous- either you see things moving to the next stage or you don't.
