Spinoff - what are the annoying things that your Dad says/does?
Dad - I love you dearly, but please, stop with the corny jokes. He laughs himself silly over jokes that a 5 year old would find funny  
Also, yes, we all heard the story about your trip with Mom to CA 15 years ago. we've been hearing it for 15 years 
My parents both do that - repeat every story to death

My parents both do that - repeat every story to death
That is my Dad. He tells the corniest jokes and has the corniest sayings that he repeats constanlty!! 
He always will put his hand on my back and say "Jodi, did you hear who is back?" And I am supposed to say "Who?" and he says "Yours".
Also, every phone conversation ends the same. He says "Ok, I'm going to go, you are boring me now but the pleasure was all yours"
I could keep on going but I will spare you all the pain!!!

Nothing! And I mean that literally, he'll NEVER voice an opinion or give me any input into anything even when I ask him to.
Other than that, I have no complaints

I love him very much and I am lucky to have such an amazying father, but trust me, it was ONLY funny the first time and after 29 years it is very old. He gets excited when he has a new person to do it too.

I could be bleeding from a head injury and my dad will want to know if I've changed the oil in my car lately
ETA: He also tells the same joke all the time.....
Why do graveyards have fences around them? Cause people are DYING to get in! He thinks it's so funny.

My dad tries to be 'cool' but he's still saying things that they said back in the early '90's... like 'NOT!'
He heard me say that like once when I was about 8 and he can't let go
He's also a civil war nut... and everytime we pass ANYWHERE in VA where a battle was fought (which, is just about everywhere) he goes on and on about the battle.
If I hear one more time that there was a battle where the mall is now... I may scream

YES - Mine, too.
I can't complain about my papa though. I wish sometimes that he'd open up a little more but I can be like him so I understand it.

I can't complain about him at all really, except to say when we were younger I wish he was around more but he was so busy working. I'm sure most of us would have the same complaint though.

My dad is such a worrier. He was always afraid we'd fall or get into trouble, so he made all our decisions for us. B/c of this, I tended to be shy and not trust my own judgment  I also wish he would have listened more when I was growing up. But I love my daddy dearly.

My dad's dream is to have a farm and that's pretty much all he ever wantst to talk about. OK, dad we get the point.
I love him dearly though and I love the fact that at 69 he still has dreams.
ETA- Oh and I hate how cheap he can be. The man works his arse off and makes plenty of money. Yet he drives around in this cr@ppy pickup truck that has no heat, no A/C and no power steering. He can literally afford to buy himself any truck he wants, but he swears his truck is fine.
