Media Vent...
yes, it's tragic and sad that Cory Lidle is gone, and i pray for his family and friends... 
but what about the other victim?
i have yet to hear/read/see ANYTHING on the news about the other guy in the plane with him...the instructor.
sad!!!

I was thinking the same thing. I read a few papers this morning, and only 1 article had the other victims name, Tyler Stranger, they think, they aren't sure of his name. I feel bad for his family, he is a person too...just b/c he wasn't famous doesn't mean he shouldn't be mentioned in this tragedy.

Since the other individual was not a Yankee they have to wait until the next of kin is notified. I am sure in the coming days we will hear more about them.

I completely agree. The story would be over with already if it weren't a famous person on the plane.

i find it very hard to believe that his next of kin hasn't been notified already.
i think the fact that he wasn't a major league ball player has everything to do with it. he was the average joe, and unfortunately average joes don't make the front page.

some are confirming his name...the Today show said they didn't know who it was.....well whoever it was they always be overshadowed by the celebrity...I pray for that person and their family

Actually, my media vent is that what about respect for the family of the dead? Make sure his dad, wife, and kids know he's died BEFORE it's announced live, on air, for his poor father to find out while watching tv. insane and horrible.

why was the passport released to the media before the body was IDed and the family notified???

EXACTLY!! another peeve of mine!!!!!!
also, i was watching CNN - and was HORRIFIED when they showed footage of the wreckage on the ground - and SAW A BODY among the debris!!!!!!  I was MORTIFIED for the families, that the media would even air those images!!!!!!

DH always says that about the Meadbrook tragedy. They always talk about Katie, the little girl who died, and that is tragic beyond words. But so is the loss of the limo drivers. All innocent victims are innocent victims.

that is true as well. An innocent limo driver died as well that night. What about him and his family??
