I think I may be depressed

I'm usually a pretty happy, upbeat person buti just don't feel like myself lately. I've been extremely emotional and sensitive and everyone/thing gets on my nerves. I know that I'm not acting very nice, but I just don't feel like I can control the unhappiness. DH just gets nasty with me, not that I don't have it coming sometimes, but he thinks I'm just playing the martyr. But the fact of the matter is, I really can't help it. I think maybe I stopped producing endorphins or something. I was never depressed before, and I'm not sure what to do. I really am so happy about having a baby, I can't understand why I always feel down. It's like I can't stop complaining about everything instead of just enjoying being pregnant.

I think it is because you are sick now.
I was like that when I had my m/s all day. I was MISERABLE, and could not be happy or enjoy the fact that I FINALLY got PG after 2 and a half years of battling infertility.
I also think a lot is hormonal. I know there are days where I get depressed over NOTHING at all. I hope it gets better for you.
Talk tou you DH and tell him how you feel so you are not fighting and he understands.

I went through a phase like this too. My DH started calling me "Monster" and someone at work said something to me - I realized I WAS being a monster, I was moody and crabby and didnt want to be around anyone. Once people pointed it out to me I made an effort to really change...and it took a couple of weeks to feel better but it happened and now I've been find since.

It'll pass for you too - you're really hormonal right now, don't stress, it will pass.

I think you're more normal than you know, honey Think of all those hormones raging in your body. You're bound to feel like this. Hang in there! This, too, shall pass

I could have written this post. I feel the same way sometimes. Our hormone levels are out of control right now and they have more of an emotional and mental affect on us than we realize.

the hormones make you crazy. They do and you dont have to apologize for it. Try to explain it best you can to your husband. IT will get better, and being excited for the baby makes no difference...your right you cant control your emotions. If your typically a happy person, I would try to do something to get the feelings out...Write them down, scream into a pillow..LOL ....Listen to music...doing something for even 15 minutes twice a day to relax will help build up your mind into being more relaxed during the other times.

Thanks everyone. I'm glad to hear that this is pretty normal, because sometimes I feel like I'm going nuts.
