DH's car was hit in front of our house tonight (w/PICS of course)
Apparently a van came up our one way street the wrong way and smashed into the side of DH's car. A witness was only able to tell us the color of the van and part of the license plate, so the cops don't think they'll be able to find the culprit. GRRRRRR. Freakin guy didn;t miss a beat on the entire passenger side. BLAH!
I'm so mad right now. I just got back my deductible from when I was rearended in April and now I have to pay it out again and we'll never get it back b/c there is no one to admit fault. This just s*cks! Down to one car until it gets fixed again.

DH's car has been hit a few times, we live on a "L" shaped block and we are the corner house (you can only make a right onto the next block from the street on the side of our house). People whip around the corner on 2-wheels so it isn't such a surprise that it was hit. But the @$$ was going the wrong way, I cannot imagine if a car was whipping around the corner at the same time - everyone's cars would have been creamed!

OMG, what an idiot. Glad everyone is ok!! Are the cops going to atleast try to look up the partial plate, color and model to see, maybe they can come up with something and from looking at the van if they find it, there will probably be obvious damage.

they said they would look but with only 3 letters of the plate they aren't possitive. Plus the man didn't know the order of the letters. He knew the first was C, then the last 2 he wasn't sure. So it's not much to go on.
If anyone see's a white van with the license plate starting with CDO or COD and damage to the front ....

Did you try driving around your neighborhood? Sounds like the guy may have been looking for somewhere and turned down the wrong block. I really am sorry!!

No because we waited for the cops for 1-1/2 hours so we figured the guy was in LA before the NYPD arrived. Our precinct covers such a large area they take so long to respond to non - emergencies.
A few years ago I worked for a company and one of our employees robbed the petty cash box (with all of $75 cash in it.  ) We called the cops to have the guy arrested, fired and to press charges and it took them over 3 hours to come to the scene.

I wish it was for that. Nope we brought it in for warranty service and they didn't even have the courtesy to notify us until MANY hours after it happened. They are not going to be too happy to see me again this morning.
I hope that the police can find the SOB that hit you guys too!
