SOOOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH!!!! It kills me the 2 never met & the similarities are just scary. I kept telling my family & they wouldn't believe me. But, the more they get to know him the more they say it's like hanging w/ Dad!

Personality wise, YES! DH and my dad work together and they are very much alike.

DH and my dad sort of look alike (same height, hair and eye color, sort of similar build); they both have similar character traits (hard-working, loyal, goal-oriented). But seriously - DH acts EXACTLY like my brother. It's kind of scary.

I dont think they are anything alike. Although they both have strong work ethics, but I don't think that makes them alike. I just wouldn't settle for a slacker!!
My 3 BIL's are nothing like my father either.
My father is very special. It would take a LOT to fill his shoes!

Sometimes I think they are a lot a like but other times I can see that they are worlds apart. I guess it depends on the issues. My dad is a musician and DH is tone deaf. My dad didn't go to college and DH is working on his MBA.
Similarly, both my grandfather and my FIL were not handy with repairs whereas my dad is great with fixing things and DH learned from necessity when his dad didn't do those things at home.
They do get along very well, though.
