If you were a parent of a 13 year old...
Would you allow them to go to that new club CRUSH in the city?? Thats "geared" to the young teen crowd?

13 is too young. If it were geared to 12-14 year olds then that would be fine. Can you be 17 and get in? If yes, that is too much of a gap.

Well, that's hard for me to answer because when I was 13, I was going to Lithium and some other "teen" clubs and my parents were all for it. I never got into trouble at these places, and I was a smart, mature 13 yr. old. Also, my older sister, who was 15 would be with me.
If I lived in the city, I MIGHT allow my child to go, but most likely not. It's sadly a different world than when I was 13.

I saw this on the news last night and was actually talking about it with my husband. I personally think 13 is a bit on the young side and maybe if my daughter was closer to 16 i'd let her go. I personally think it looked like a safe place for kids to go, without alcohol/drugs. I mean, the mall is turning into a drug hangout!

Parents can drop them off go in check it out.. no adults allowed in...

Heck no!! You should see what my 7th graders do at a school dance with both teachers and parents around!! No way would I let them go unsupervised to a teen club.

Its under 21.. I just checked out the site... so that means a 13 year old and a 20 year old can be grinding on the dance floor... that would be a NO from me...

Oh, absolutely not then. There's no way my 13 yr. old would be allowed in the same room as a 20 yr old. Because you know it'd be all the really creepy 18-20 yr olds there, too. Because what NORMAL 18-20 yr old wants to be in the same place as a 13 yr old?

NO NO NO!
My friend lets her 13 yr old daughter go to these clubs and I think its so awful. you should see how she dresses to go, Ugh, it makes me soo mad, but theres nothing I can say , its her choice .
Then my other friend has a 14 yr old, last yr she wanted to go to a club out her on LI for teen night, it was 14 and over, she was 13. And her mom said no, but my friend called the place anyway and they said they dont check ID's so she would be able to get in anyway 
What is she was an older looking 11 or 12 yr old???? And then what abuot if they let young looking 19-20 year olds in..
Oh man, I just cant stomach it.

However I did go to clubs when I was 13 - Avanti in Bayside with my older sister. I can honestly say that I did not drink or do drugs while I was there but I did make out with some boys.

reminds me of a place a guy in my town opened up when i was younger- he created a teen hangout so that he could molest the younger girls.....

I am only 23 so teen years weren't so far away.
I went to the clubs and yes they were very different then. I can say this first hand because I worked a few nights at teen clubs.
Not to be a hypocrite but I wouldn't let my cousin go and she is 13. I told my aunt straight out the facts and the differences!

I went when I was 14... to Carringtons in stony brook, very close to where I lived.
I'd have to say no though... maybe at 15 or 16, but not 13.
