How hard is it to say "Thanks"?
I think it is so rude when someone emails you asking you for a favor. You go out of your way to do it for them and they can't even email back a simple "Thanks" ?

I hate when you are behind someone and they don't hold the door for you. Or if you are holding the door they just walk through- no thank you or anything.

I started saying "Thanks" when people don't hold it for me.

You know, I sent a TY email once and my hand nearly fell off 
As long as there is a thank you somewhere in the request or after delivery I am good but if there's no appreciation shown I get annoyed.

Yeah, I sent two today and both actually required me to do a bit of research and take a few moments to get the answer. One required me to call my FIL (it was a kitchen question) and ask him to look something up for me.
I'm hoping neither person has checked their FM's.

i guess this person is saying thats in her own way, but it drives me batty. if this co-worker, emails me for something and i take care of it and send her an email letting her know, i get this back

This required me to upload and fix pictures and then email it to her!! And I fixed them nice.. adjusted color, cropped, etc.

Yeah...I always read about girls on here complaining that they spent so much time typing out long azz FMs helping people out and then get no reply, no thanks nothing. Hadn't happened to me since the days of LIW and then it happened here. I typed a really really long FM giving someone advice/input about something and didn't even get an acknowledgement back. Nothing.
But yeah...that's rude of your SIL... that's alot of work and she's probably clueless...

I hear ya!! I had someone from here do that to me.. I wrote a long fm and got nothing back.. I would have been happy with an emote icon or a "TY"

I make it a point to always say thanks in my office when someone does something. Could be the littest thing as giving me a fax or bringing me a stack of papers to review.
Even my IT guy who installed a new IM system on our computers, when he finished mine I looked at him and said "you're my favorite IT guy. Thanks"
A thanks goes a long way
