maybe tmi...but do you think?????
I am a regular member of lif (first liw for a few years and then came here!) but am not ready for everyone to Know who I am sorry - I always swore I wouldn't do this after seeing many do it - but now that I am in the boat, I guess I am a hyprocrite, so sorry ladies!
I have never been good about really charting my period, but I am fairly regular and had my last period on Dec 18. We weren't really trying but we also don't use birth control other than condoms. (I have never been on the pill)
Lately, (say last three weeks or so..) my boobs have been sore and almost achy, my back has been hurting inexplicably and I have been fairly constipated and feel exhausted despite getting an ample amount of sleep. I have also developed nauseau - not too bad but mainly in am or around mid day - but I guess have convinced myself that its in my mind becuase I am "thinking" I might be preggo and know that is a symptom.
Now I know that you all will probably just advise me to take a preg. test and I know I should but the other part of me I guess is scared. I know we would love a baby and would be great parents and all but its just kinda of like a "wow really?" type of thing....kinds like we are prepared but aren't at the same time....stupid, i know..
Not to worry, I am not a smoker or a drinker and live a fairly healthy lifestyle but I guess my rambling question is - do you think I am pregnant? (and why on earth am I avoiding taking a test or going to the doctor???)

The symptoms all sound like they could be PG realted...but the mind can also play tricks on you and stress could be making you feel out of sorts too. Sore boobs could be retaining water and PMS. But, since your last AF was Dec 18th and its now Jan 26th and you still dont have it, you are a week late... So yeah I would say take a PG test...at least then you can stop guessing and decide what you feel is best for you to do. Good luck!

Not dumb at all! If you do a search for previous posts of mine, I went through the exact same thing in December!! I eneded up not being late, I just wasn't sure if my pd. was for real. Like someone said above, we all tend to think we have "symptoms" when in reality it could be PMS or the real thing! The only way to tell is by testing
Yes, it is soooo scary! Even after you get the BFP, it doesn't change. I spent the first 2 weeks ina bit of a state of shock. DH kept asking if I was OK with all of this because I wasn't really acting excited! You are not alone in this!

That isn't dumb at all. I think even those of us that were trying very hard, felt the way you do.
Your symptoms sound like you might be pregnant and it sounds like you are late as well.
The anticipation of taking a test and getting either answer is so frightening. You are scared that it will be positive because of all the changes that will come with a baby and then you are scared that it might be negative because of the extreme disappointment.
As long as you are taking care of yourself, why not go buy a test and then take it whenever you are ready. Whether that be later today or next week. I would suggest to start taking prenatal vitamins because it's very important to get enough folic acid in the beginning.

it's quite possible.....and it's totally normal to be scared to take the test. I was SO scared to take it the 2nd time around after the m/c.

I can be very scary, especially knowing your life can change with one pee
I would just do it just to know yes or no so you don't drive yourself crazy. Especially if you turn out to be pg, you can take care of yourself and that little one!

They sound like alot of the symptoms I had.
I know how you feel about taking the test. I was the same way, scared it would be negative and at the same time scared it would be positive.

This is SOOOO normal. Even if you want a child, it is such a life altering event that of course you are ambivilant or scared. I know that I am still adjusting to my BFP- its only been a few days and every day I wake up shocked. I am even afraid to tell my family and I have no idea why! We are really excited to be pregnant- I just think its such an unreal event that it really is hard to wrap our heads around it.

ok, so i tested....and it was positive - i sewar, almost instantly.....so now i am trying to figure out a fun way to tell my dh.....
this seems so surreal.....
