No one else was invited so I don't know what their policy would have been.
Same here. I think it is a special moment and even though I am very close to my mom and my sister, I wanted this to be a moment just the two of us shared.
Same here. I felt it was too special a moment to share with anyone else.

Just my DH since I had a c-section. I told my mom when I got pregnant that she could come in if I had a vag-birth.
I really wanted to be there for my sister's vag-birth but she wouldn't let me.

DH and my mom. Things progressed so quickly so she stayed in the room with us. I was a little nervous of how DH would handle the delivery so I wanted mom there just in case .

I had a c/s, so only my dh. But, even if I had a vaginal birth, only my dh would have been there. While I was in labor, my mom, m-i-l & dh were in the room, and it was up to me if I wanted them to stay. But, they told me on the tour that only my dh and one other person could be there. They obviously didnt follow their own rules!

I had a c/s, but would only have had my DH in there anyway.
I remember when my sister was in labor at North Shore, we could all go in and visit her in the room, but at LIJ, my dad wanted to come in to visit me during labor, but they wouldn't let anyone in who wasn't going to be there for the delivery.

I was going to have DH and a friend but the hospital only allowed 1 person so it was DH. Looking back on the experience I'm glad I didn't have additional people because I needed all my DH's attention and support. I think he would have been talking to the friend during my labor and not focused completely on me.

DH and my doula. No one else was invited and I would do it the exact same way next time. To me its a very private moment that I only wanted to share with DH.

My younger sister was in there with Al and I for a few hours of the labor. I didn't want her in there for the delivery.
Just after I had Ella, my parents, Al's parents and both my sisters were allowed in for a few minutes.

Just me and DH for the actual delivery-we wanted it private-my mom and dad were there for some of the "laboring" but my dad can't stand to see me in pain so he left as I was crying hystrically for an epidural and my mom left just as the doctor said I was ready to push.

Just JT because it was a c-section. I could have had two people if I had a regular delivery. However, because it was so dead in L&D, they let my whole family come spend time with me in recovery. It was the nicest thing I could have had happen.
