Newborn question
My son is on 2 weeks today and he is on the Similac Advance with Iron. I think it is making him constipated and giving him gas pains. Or could it be the bottle, I am using the playtex vent air? It seems that this happens every night between 11pm - 2:30 pm

I use Similac Advance w/Iron and also use the Dr Browns...this helped us out a lot on the gas. She was never really constipated on it though, so I don't know...
Ditto to that! I started out with the Avents and they did not work...always gassy. Switched to Dr. Browns and it was smooth sailing.

Same here. Give the Dr. Brown's a try.

Re: Newborn question
Dr. Brown's was a big help, but we still ended up having to switch formulas. He's been on Enfamil Gentlease for a long time now and hasn't had a problem since the switch.

Re: Newborn question
We tried the Dr. Browns and Emily couldn't stand them. We use the Playtex Nurser system with the drop in liners and that works fine.
We also had to switch from a regular formula to Gentlease becuase it seemed to hurt her so much to poop, and she's been much better since.
I'd give your pediatrician a call. They can make a formula change recommendation.

Re: Newborn question
I would use gentlease or the similac with lower iron.
