What holidays do you decorate

We moved into our house in July of last year. I did little decorations for halloween. Just some little things around the house. Thanksgiving I did the same. Christmas I went crazy. Christmas is my favorite holiday because I love all the lights and decorating. My fondest memories as a kid was decorating for christmas with my parents.

I didnt do anything for valentines day. Now that Easter is approaching not sure if I want to do anything really big. Maybe just a few little things but not sure.

What holidays do you decorte for? If you have any pics I'd love to see them.

I do Christmas and Halloween mainly - Christmas all out of course but I do put orange lights in the window for Halloween too. I do the other holidays with something on our front door but thats about it. Iv'e been doing Easter a bit more too - at least inside the house - with the kids' Easter baskets and other stuff around.

*Easter
*Halloween-Thanksgiving (I try and do a Fall theme, not so much holiday specific so that way I can keep the decorations up October through the end of November.)
*Christmas
*I go very light for Valentines Day (basically just the kitchen)
*4th of July (again, very light...mainly the kitchen.)

Easter (big too)
Memorial Day (flags, etc.)
4th of July (flags, etc.)
Halloween (tremendous display)

Last year we decorated for the 4th of July because it was our wedding day.

I don't have the time.

Time...I forget about how much time it takes to do these things. Putting them up taking them down.

I think I am just going to do a little spring type thing for easter so I can keep some of the stuff up for a bit.

Re: What holidays do you decorate

when I lived in my townhouse I went crazy for every holiday. Mostly inside with a few exterior things. I have tons of easter stuff, some valentines & st pattys, lots of patriotic stuff, at least 4 boxes of fall/halloween stuff. For christmas I had a whole snowman collection that I used in my kitchen in my TH. Now I don't go nearly as crazy even though our new house is much bigger. I try to put a seasonal wreath or welcome sign near the front door & sometimes I put a few things in the bay window, but I have totally scaled back. I'm having a yard sale in a month & I'm selling everything I don't use.

Re: What holidays do you decorate

We had a paper shamrock decoration on our door for St. Patrick's Day

Put a pumpkin outside for Thanksgiving/Fall

Decorated inside and out for Christmas

Personally, I get a headache when I am in someone's house and there are decorations everywhere. My stepmother is like that.Chat Icon

Re: What holidays do you decorate

All the holidays pretty much. I just took off my green tablecloth and put on the spring linen with embroidered flowers. I have Easter decorations on the door and in the living room too.

Outside - Christmas and Halloween.

Inside - I have decorations (not a lot just little things) for autumn, halloween, valentines day, and easter...I don't have a lot for any of those but a few things. Like for Easter I have a basket with wooden hand painted eggs and a easter candy dish and some stuffed easter characteres. Christmas I have a lot more stuff for inside the house. I do have show towels and pot holders for pretty much every holiday (valentines, easter, thanksgiving, st patricks day, 4th of July, christmas, autumn, summer, halloween) - got that at my bridal shower.

Christmas is the biggest holiday where I decorate. For the other holidays it's ususally a nice door hanger decoration and maybe some things on the entertainment center.

Re: What holidays do you decorate

I decorate for everything:

For Halloween, Valentines, St Patricks, I just have a few little things like kitchen towels some candles etc.

For Easter, Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, I have a bit more but still not a ton.

For Christmas I have more than I can even use in our house! But I love it all!!!

I just love to decorate the house and change it up so the holidays are fun!!!

Christmas Fall/Halloween

Same here. For Easter, St. Paddy's Day and the Fourth of July just a wreath or something on the door.

Re: What holidays do you decorate

I saw some cute easter candy bowls that I wound up putting on the coffee table and a cute springy table cloth.

I also found some cute spring color candles that I think will be used just for decoration.

I'm not sure what we are going to do in the summer, we don't have a flagpole and I'm not sure I want one.
