Try dealing with what I deal with - the smallest size in plus size is too big for me and the biggest size in regular clothes is too small (depending on the store of course). So I am either busting out of my clothes or swimming in them - fun times!

It depends more on the cut of the clothes than the brand. I once tried on 12 skirts in AT Loft and every one fit differntly. I also tried on a jumper in there in an 8, a 10 and a 12 and the top of it got bigger and the skirt portion never changed!
J Crew pants are waaaayyy too narrow for me, but some of their skirts fit me.
I am usually an 8 or 10. If I have to wear a 12, the cut is usually really off and it doesn't fit right.

I have skirts and capris that are 4 from gap and ny & co...
I have dresses and dress pants that are 6
and some from ann taylor
and some 8's that are finally big on me!
I never know what I am!

The gap is the worst. I am usually a size 6 in jeans... except the Gap, I fit into a 10.
