Help! Spotting at 24 weeks
I just went to the bathroom and was shocked to find I have been spotting. I'm just over 24 weeks and I feel fine otherwise. I called the Dr. and am waiting to hear back. has this happened to anyone else at this point in their pregnancy?

I spotted earlier on in my pregnancy and was told it was old blood that my body never absorbed.
From what I have heard, it is pretty common to spot in the middle of the pregnancy. I think as long as you don't have cramping, you are ok. But your doctor will most likely want to check it out anyway.

ETS: When I spotted, it was red, not brown, and there were clots (sorry if TMI) which makes it more scary.

Try to stay calm and not to panic until you hear from the dr or anything - i have heard lots of people who spotted and were fine!

Still Waiting- I had been diagnosed with a threatened miscarriage in my 8th or 9th week. Thank God, bed rest stopped heavy bleeding and  was fine. Blood is dark brown now- started out tlike this last time, then became like a really heavy period.

I have no advice, but I do know that spotting at any point can be completely normal.. so please try not to worry until you see your doctor

Maybe a little personal, but did you have sex before this happened? It may have something to do with the spotting. Be sure to mention to your Dr. if you think it may be sex related.

If the blood is brown it is old blood, so I am sure it is fine!! Try to stay calm till you hear from your DR

Could be placenta previa where your placenta moves over the cervix and irritates it so you start bleeding. If you are really nervous you should go to the hospital. My SIL had PP and went on to give birth to a beautiful baby boy who is almost 3 now.

Thanks everyone for your conncern and prayers. Everything is ok - had sono and the baby is fine. Just have to watch and stay off my feet, which I've been doing. Bleeding is alomost gone and hopefully will not be back. I've been trying to stay laying down so I haven't been online.
