Well, I landed myself in the hospital on Friday afternoon-UPDATEd at bottom1/31/06
The pain that I had on wednesday didn't go away,and thursday and friday my belly seemed to be getting hard more than before and started to hurt.
So Friday I call the dr and make an appt, 10 mins later they call me back and tell me to go to L&D at the hospital.
I then flipped out, started crying hysterically, and got my DH to drive me.
I was having contractions, wasn't dehydrated, no dilation, blood tests were normal and received 2 shots to stop the contractions with NO promise it wouldn't happen again. I wish there could have been an explanation onto why, but we have no idea what caused them. i am sooo nervous and scared, I am only 26.5 weeks. Baby is not done cooking yet!
THe nurses said i would prob be back and if i did i would have to go on a prescription for the same drug they gave in me in hospital.
I took today off to rest, i just wish I could not work anymore. My job is def a big part of this issue. I loathe my job so much, and i was interviewing when I found out i was pg.

hang in there!!!! take care of yourself...and definitely don't push yourself too hard. just do everything the doctors tell you to. is there anyway you can take an early leave? at least now you're aware of what pains mean what, so just try your best to take it easy.

Aww, I am sorry you are going through this. Rest as much as possible and see if you can take off from work for at least this week.

OMG, I'm so sorry!! I can't imagine how scared and worried you must have been. I'm so glad you're OK!!
Is there any way you can reduce your work days or work hours? It might make a difference.
Please rest all you can and take it easy. That little baby can't come out just yet!

Perhaps you should speak to your doctor about a brief leave of absense to prevent pre-term labor. I am sorry that the stress is getting to you...that is just not fair.

Is there anyway you can take a leave of absence or use some vacation time? You need some time to relax and let that baby continue to cook
I had some bleeding issues around the 25th week and also again around 29 weeks but thankfully no contractions. Its very scary.

Thank you for asking
I went to the dr this am, and they are putting me on 2.5mg of Terbulaline(sp) to stop the contractions(the same meds they gave me in the hospital) and I am now on partial bed rest. I have to be on the meds until 37 weeks, and my appts are now weekly, I have a non stress test next week.
I also have to cut my hours at work down by 1/2. My Dr said i am on my way to full bedrest if the contractions continue while on meds and partial bedrest.
A piece of me is relieved that the dr told me to cut down, cause honestly I don't think I could do it on my own accord.
Better news-I passed my 1 hour GD test! The lab messed up my bloodwork so i have to go back again, but that's the least of my worries now.
Thank you for thinking of me everyone the support i receive here is unbelievable

I'm glad your doctor is makingyou cut your hours. You needed to!
I hope the meds and partial bedrest work for you - I'd hate to see you on full bedrest!
Take it easy and feel better! Follow your doctors orders
