I am still working on my degree. Its hard since I always found great paying jobs that kind of fell into my lap. I don't have a single career goal. DH is in school now, I feel like if I went now as well, I would never see him.
I will go back since I only have a few classes left and get a lib. arts degree once DH is done. But I think I want to go to hair school. Always took an intrest in it.
It always drove my parents crazy, I let my scholarship go to stay with DH. All I wanted to be was Mrs. O###. 
My grandmother has her BA in Home Economics from Hunter. She was a SAHM with 9 kids. My grandfather always said she was a real career woman. She ran the house like a sucessful business.
that's awesome!!! i wish they still had programs like that today!

Tania you are definetely NOT a failure dont say that! you have accomplished so much you have a beautiful daughter and your a great mom to her and you have gone to school . me i have not gone to college ever i feel like a failure because i feel like i should be going to college and take a class or something but never did. when you are ready to go back i wish you the best of luck.

I never finished either. I took a semester off and got a job that I loved, and I'm still at it. I always thought I'd go back to school, but I moved up quickly and have been the GM for 12 of my 15 years and make pretty decent money. So I don't think I will ever go back.

My dad dropped out his first semester, and eventually went back at night, a little at a time. It took him forever, but he graduated in 1980 & my brother & I were at the ceremony, which I think is really cool! So, when you do go back, Alia will be there to see you gradaute & I'm sure she will be very proud of you!

I never finished college and I had 2 majors started I was paying for it 100% on my own and it just got too expensive and then I got this job. I always wanted to go back hey you never know maybe I will.

You're not alone. I have 2 degrees that I'm doing nothing with, meanwhile my brother only went to college for a semester and dropped out. Well, he is making more than 3X what I'm making and I'm making a decent salary.
I have a degree that I have nothing to show for. My sister dropped out of community college and makes 15K more than me.
So in other words, dont feel bad!

I never went to college, but I know so many people that did, and are working at jobs that have nothing to do with their degrees.

Tania, if it makes you feel better.....I read the book titled "The Millionaire Next Door" which is a study of people in the US who are millionaires, but live in middle class neighborhoods. The book shows that most of these people, who are very successful did not go to college and make their $ by running or owning a family business.
I think it takes smarts to be successful, but not necessarily a degree.

I went back to school at 26 for my associates. I got my BS at 30.
Everyone does things when it is their time.
Hopefully I will be returning to a grad program next fall.
ETA: DH never finished college & never went to any schooling after HS & he makes 6-figures. Sometimes education/schooling has nothing to do with opportunity.
