At a job hunting seminar I attended at school they said that women should wear Navy skirt suits to interviews.

black skirt suit.
I always heard wear a skit. I dont think its wrong to wear pants. I think women in a skirt look more dressy, maybe thats why?

I have always worn black skirt suits to job interviews. Some places black pant suits..I don't think I've ever worn navy.

I voted for navy because it's a color that looks good on most people & doesn't wash them out.
All of those colors are fine. It's not about the color of the suit. Ok wait that's not true a pink suit with glitter wouldn't work.

skirt suits are considered more corporate.
I only own a black shirt suit. It's the only suit I own and I'm sort of hoping to never have to wear it again

I always heard navy as well but they are pretty hard to find. I have heard the pants/skirts debate and it really depends who you talk to. I have pretty much always worn a black suit... I had a grey one once... but I honestly don't think it makes a difference. It shouldn't anyway!!!

you're right... if I am the right person for the job, I doubt the color or type of suit would matter. I definitely want to get a black suit since IMO, it's the most practical and can be worn as seperates very easily.

They said it is because most companies are still very traditional/conservative in their views and in a pants suit you don't look as conservative.
I don't know if I believe that, but that's what they say.

whatever you look good in.
a well fitting grey suit is much better than an unflattering navy suit.
i dont think suit color is going to determine if you get the job. its how you wear the suit and how you look in it
