My mom has gone through many and I know hw much she hates them.....

I'm having it done at my GI's endoscopy suite. I think it's an evil plot just to find out if I have a colon! I keep telling him I'm pretty sure it's there..

Hang in there. You'll get medicated so it won't be bad. My DD has had a few already she just turned 20.

Yeah...crap is my word..it just fits.
I actually have the cat scan this Fri and next Fri is the colonoscopy...blech on all parts!
Looking for surgery on or about Oct 1.

You would think there would be another way to get this done. The prep is the worst part.
I'm glad it will be done in the doc's endoscopy suite rather than the hospital though.

The procedure isn't bad at all. You get a short anesthesia for about 30 mins and then it's all over. I had the most amazing psychadelic dream!
The prep was pretty invasive when I had it done 3 years ago, but my sister had it done in June and she had the "quick prep" which was much easier. We were both pretty gassy afterwards too Oh, the joys of having a family with a history of stomach problems
Hopefully you are having it early in the day so that you get it over with. Which Dr. are you seeing?

Having it at 8:45..my Doc is Dr. Perry Gould. He's excellent. He works out of Winthrop. I could have 6:45 but I didn't want to do that to DH!
