Weight Gain

Does anyone mind postin how much weight they have gained so far. I am 24 weeks and have gained 18 pounds and I just feel like it is so much compared to other people. My cousins wife is 3 weeks behind me and has only gained 2 pounds!!

II was always pretty thin before size 2-4 so I am feeling kind of bummed and scared about what I'll end uo weighing.

With both Emma and Jeremy I gained a pound a week until I was about 25 weeks then I started gaining 2+ a week. I was just constantly hungry.

This time I am 17 weeks and I have gained 8lbs.

Sometimes people just gain weight, no explaination. Although I have my own theory.

LOL It totally depends on the pregnancy. With the 1st 2 I felt awful. I felt pregnant. Always hungry, the picture of pregnancy. All the cravings etc. This time I want nothing to do with that and if my stomach weren't growing I wouldn't know I was pregnant. I dont think its something women can control I think it's pregnancy specific.

i am due saturday and at last visit i was up 33 lbs. i go back tonight....

1m 15 1/2 weeks and ive gained 6 lbs so far

I am almost 28 weeks and have gained 11lbs. With my son however I had a weight gain of like 30lbs by now

At 27 weeks I was up 19lbs....

that is so funny b/c my cousin is due 6 days after me and she has not gained more than 5 pounds!!! we were both a 0-1 before hand and its so odd that we are growing so different. i dont get it - it drives me crazy.

i'm 22 weeks and up about 15!! so its seems like we are on the same track!

I am 40 weeks tomorrow and total weight gain of 40lbs !! Oh my !

I'm 31 weeks and I've gained approx. 22 pounds.

Keep in mind that everyone gains weight at a different pace.

At my 24 week appt, I was up 9 lbs. I gained 6 lbs from weeks 20-24.

I'm 31 weeks and gained 35 lbs as of last week.

I was not so thin to begin with, and it is still hard for me to see that gained so much. I just hope I can get it all off.

I'm 38 weeks and up 21 pounds. My last pregnancy I wound up gaining closer to 30 but put on about 6 pounds in the last two weeks. Alot of other people say their weught gain slows down at the end. You really can't compare yourself to anyone else. As long as you and your baby are heathly is all that matters. I mean, Kate Hudson put on 70 pounds and look at her now!!!

I am up 10 at 28 weeks but I had severe MS. I dont think 18 is bad at all for 24 weeks. AS for your SIL that is 3 weeks behind....Honestly you gain more as the weeks go on. I was only up 4 pounds at 20 weeks so I wouldnt be hard on yourself in comparison to her.

I am 12 weeks and have gained 4 pounds so far. I am really trying to watch what I eat but I have such a sweet tooth, it is hard to resist

I just wanted to add that everyone really is different and sometimes it doesn't have to do with what you are eating. My diet has pretty much been the same since the start of my pregnancy yet I somehow managed to gain 15 of my 18 pounds thus far in two months! I had gained only about 3 pounds up to 5 months and months 6 and 7 was 15 pounds. So everyone's body does its own thing!

i also think it depends on the months that you are carrying in: I delivered in early november, I was ALL water weight in the end. Usually it is 1-1.5lbs a week as a guide. One month I had a HUGE gain almost 9 lbs! then again I gained 67lbs!

34.5 weeks and I have gained 20 lbs.
