Re: What's the deal with second weddings?
so basically in your opinion and I am not saying your are wrong. You think it is a one shot deal. Whether its dishes or money second weddings if they chose to do it no gift?

I think it's definitely a 1 shot deal for an e-party and bridal shower, if both people have already been married. I can totally understand having a shower if 1 person was never married before.
I see nothing wrong with gift giving at a second wedding. In all honetly, I can't afford to give my friend the same gift that I gave him for his wedding 2 years ago, but we will definitely give him something.

I agree with the time line. If it has been many years then that may change things.

Re: What's the deal with second weddings?
i think that people make mistakes... and that doesn't mean they don't deserve to celebrate their love ANYWAY they chose. And if that means a huge wedding with the trimmings so be it. Guests have the right not to attend.
If it were me...i have no idea what i would do. I think i would hop a plane and do something crazy...Just to try soemthing different... But that is me. And i do not begrudge anyone doing whatever they feel is right to celebrate their love and committment
