I made up for lost time. Growing up we rarely went anywhere. My Dad was single and he sent us to Catholic school so that's where the $$$ went.
My last vacation:
2005- London- honeymoon, San Diego (DH fam reunion)
2004- Italy- engagement, San Fran (weekend)
1992- Ireland (stayed with family)
1984- Ireland (stayed with family)
So now I don't need one every year. I'd like to but first priority is house!!

I can go for years without a vacation. I don't feel I "need" it. Plus, I'd rather spend my money other ways.

i like to plan the next one right when i come home, but this year, after our HM (3 weeks) we waited a long time, and only did weekend getaways to weddings and camping, but we are due for another vaca! OVERDUE!

our HM was the only real vacation we took, we've done 2 road trips together before we got married and it looks like we ain't going anywhere for quite awhile except to the hardware store to fix up the house!

Yes I've always NEEDED a vacation. I used to take one every 3-4 months when I lived at home!!! Now I/we go on vacation about 2 or 3 times a year.

i am the many many short vacs over the year - after maybe 8 - 10 weeks i get itchy for a trip - dont know always been like this dont think it will change anytime soon
