Okay...we're starting!!
House hunting!!!
We also have to sell our co-op in West Hempstead. We're looking in Suffolk...not too far out though. I looked at a house in North Babylon yesterday, it was sooo nice but a bit out of my price range.
We're going to be very busy...

Keep in mind it's the slow season but if you find something you like, usually now is the time to get a good price.

UGH i just sold me condo and am now looking for a house. IMO sell first! Unless you have a good DP without the sale!

Good Luck stephanie DH and I are in the same boat too we are House Hunting ourselves its not easy! we go with a real estate lady to look at houses and stil nothing yet. tomorrow we are going to my mom's in ridge and maybe we wil find something i so want to be out of my apartment by april!

Stefanie, you should check out E. Northport. You can get a 3 BD ranch or a cape for the low-mid 400's and the taxes are usually low. Schools are excellent. DH is a mortgage broker if you want his info FM me

I was also going to recommend around there. Are you looking in any particular areas for any reasons, close to trains? parkways? South Shore? North Shore? Particular style house?
Good luck with the search, it can be very frustrating but everything works out for the best you will see. My DH is also a broker if you need any assistance.
